Our Beliefs

The Bible

Because we value the Bible as the supernatural, inerrant Word of God, we prioritize the exposition (unpacking) of Scripture in our preaching regardless of delivery style and emphasize its truths in our Core Ministries (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 Peter 1:23).

Salvation

We believe that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ. Salvation is not something that we earn or work for, but it is a free gift from God by His grace (undeserved favor). We are saved when we believe that Jesus lived the perfect life we could never live, died the death that we as sinners deserve, and rose again so that we could have everlasting life in Him (Ephesians 2:8-9; Acts 4:12; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Romans 10:9-10).

The Gospel

The Gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ. According to the Scriptures, Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose from the grave on the third day. If you believe in the Gospel, you will be saved (1 Corinthians 15).

The Mission of Christ

Because we value the mission of Christ, we encourage all members and regular attenders to give generously (our tithe concept of this is 10 percent), serve regularly within a core ministry or service, and in some fashion, participate in community outreach and national/international missions (Matthew 22:37-40; 23:23; 28:18-20; 2 Corinthians 8:1-4, 8-9).

The Transforming Work of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit

Because we value the supernatural work of God, we pray regularly in our ministries and willfully submit to the ultimate leading and work of the Lord in recognition that the work of salvation and continual life transformation is beyond the capacity of man alone to produce (Ezekiel 11:19; Matthew 16:18; Mark 10:26-27).

Excellence

We value excellence in all things, as in all things we recognize that we are working for Jesus Christ (Colossians 3:23).
