Our Beliefs

One God in Three Persons

  • God is one eternal being revealed in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Each person is fully God in essence and nature, and each is distinct yet equal from one another.

God made everything and it was good

Humans are God's good but marred reflection

  • Human beings are image-bearers of God, created to be good and reflect the character of God. But we’ve rejected his character and lordship, and this introduces sin into the world. Sin leads to creation’s breakdown, and we become subject to sin’s power and to death.
  • Genesis 1:26-28; Genesis 2:4-25; Genesis 3:1-24; Romans 1:18-32; Romans 5:12-19; Ephesians 2:1-3

Jesus is God become human to rescue us

We are saved by God

  • Everyone can be saved by grace through faith by receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. We do not earn or merit this; it is a gift. This results in a personal relationship with him for eternity. We receive forgiveness of sin and are transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit to live renewed lives.

The Holy Spirit transforms us from the inside out

  • The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He indwells followers of Jesus, and he purifies us from sin and conforms us to Christ. He continually empowers us to live fruitful and God-honoring lives. He equips us with gifts for service to others.

Everyone can be a part of the local and global church

  • All believers are to be a part of a local church and are spiritually united in Jesus Christ by faith everywhere, constituting the global church, regardless of race, culture, background, or other similar distinctions. As the church, we are given a mission: we are to share the good news about Jesus and participate in the restoration of the world.
